Binx’s arrival to IFS brought some happiness to a dark time here at the sanctuary. Our Holstein girl, May, was pregnant at her time of rescue but tragically gave birth to a stillborn in our care. In order to help alleviate May’s sadness, we searched locally for a bottle calf in need of a mother.

Enter Binx--at just a few weeks old, Binx was soon destined for the sale barn, where male calves are often purchased for veal. We brought Binx to IFS instead, where he is bonding with May and proud to be her adopted son. Binx is happy, healthy, and full of personality. We are so grateful to care for him alongside May.
