Eli

Eli

Eli came into our care as a tiny baby after suffering severe frostbite shortly after birth. He was born on one of the coldest nights of the winter, and unfortunately by the time his caregivers found him, it was too late. The damage had been done. Frostbite is a terribly painful and all too common ailment we see in farmed animals, but fortunately they can live long, healthy lives despite their injuries.

Eli lost the tips of his ears and the bottom portions of his hind legs. He is learning to adjust to a new “normal” and navigate his surroundings. We will be exploring prostheses options for him and his sister, Emmy, who also suffered from frostbite. Eli is a total love bug and cuter than words can express (or photos can capture)!
