Eve

Shortly before Easter 2019, we were notified about a special needs lamb who was being given away on craigslist. We were fearful someone would turn her into their Easter dinner, so we decided to take her in.

Eve was born completely blind in one eye (which had to be removed because the pressure was so extreme), almost completely blind in the other eye, and with contracted front legs. We also thought she may have a cleft palate, but she just had a unique smile!

Eve was a very special and sweet girl. She made a lot of friends at Iowa Farm Sanctuary, but the bond she formed with Annie the pig was extraordinarily special. Eve was lost to us unexpectedly while recovering from a surgery in 2020. Our hearts are still broken.
