Harold came to us from an equine farm where his big horns and lack of regard for others’ personal space had staff and visitors feeling a little intimidated. Apparently, sweet Harold was a little *too friendly* at times, making it a challenge for staff to provide equine care in open pastures. We’re so thankful that Harold’s humans reached out to us for help instead of sending him to auction!
While cows and horses can be friends, they have different natural instincts and social patterns, and cows really benefit from having other cows with whom to live. Harold finally has the community he deserves and for which he was likely longing. And he now has total freedom to explore lush green pastures, to wade in the pond, to form meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime—and best of all, to be unapologetically himself.
