Hope came to us from one of the largest pig breeding facilities in the nation. She, like Monkey and Marley, was a runt and therefore sentenced to death by blunt force trauma. Aside from being a runt in her litter, Hope was also stepped on, resulting in a broken hoof. On the day that she was sent to die, a rogue employee rescued her. Not only did this employee save her, but she also nursed Hope back to health and healed her wounds before surrendering her to IFS. Besides having a slight limp, Hope has progressed amazingly. She still tends to hang back when all of the pigs are together, understandably. She’s the sweetest pig you’ll ever meet! (Don’t tell the others we said that…)
