Mo started out as a temporary foster here at IFS, and ended up a foster failure — we just fell in love with her! Mo came to us from a petting zoo/hobby farm in Wisconsin, where she had lived a life of neglect. Her hooves became severely overgrown to the point of curling. Through regular corrective hoof trimmings, Mo’s hooves have made improvement. Mo is a little bit sweet and a lot sass — just how a miniature horse should be!
On April 21st, 2024, Mo gave birth to a surprise baby girl, named Luxe! Besides a little bit of weight gain over her time with us, we were none the wiser to her pregnancy. Jered sure was surprised to find an extra resident when doing his morning checks in the barn! We are so glad that Mo was in a safe place to have her baby. Her baby will never know anything but unconditional love and Mo will never be separated from her sweet girl.
