Soon after the story of Phill the water buffalo came to light, We learned that Phill had two companions who remained on the property he escaped from--one of which was Sal. We made a promise to do everything we could to secure their freedom as well. Fortunately, the original owner ended up surrendering them into our care and the three have been reunited!

Sal is inquisitive, observant of his environment, and has a strong bond with Phill--who Sal relies on to help him feel safe. He enjoys giving kisses and receiving head scratches after you earn his trust.
