Zoey was rescued from a horrific hoarding situation in Pennsylvania by Lancaster Farm Sanctuary before she and her family were transferred to our care. Due to the unimaginable trauma they endured before their arrival to IFS, this family is incredibly bonded. Initially these sweet goats were very uncomfortable around humans, and understandably so. Their caregivers have been slowly earning their trust, and now Zoey in particular loves a good chin scratch! She is watchful and curious, with her son Brownie always nearby. Watching this mother and son pair gleefully jump and climb on the goat playground brings us so much joy. Zoey has settled into sanctuary life very well and will only know love and safety from now on, like she has always deserved.
