Sponsor Bradley for a Year
When you sponsor an animal for a year you make a HUGE difference in their life. With your donation you will be helping Bradley with all of his care, from routine vet visits to daily feedings.
With your yearly sponsorship (payments recurring monthly) you will receive quarterly updates and pictures of your resident in your email, your name on the IFS website, plus a spot on our exclusive sponsorship slideshow, viewable in the IFS store. Also, receive a free pass for all Sanctuary Strolls for the duration of your sponsorship!
Come out and meet the animals you’ve sponsored—so they can thank you themselves! This is the gift that keeps on giving, for you and for Bradley.
For your convenience, this sponsorship will automatically renew each year until you choose to discontinue sponsor support.
Before his rescue, sweet Bradley found himself in a horrific situation—he was listed for free on craigslist because he was ill. In the ad, the farmer wrote that Bradley likely had tetanus. We knew that Bradley needed help immediately, but he was hours away from our sanctuary. We reached out to our friends at Stardust Animal Sanctuary, and they kindly agreed to facilitate Bradley’s emergency transport to University of Wisconsin (UW).
When Bradley arrived at the hospital, he was nervous, painful, and bloated. His team quickly confirmed a tetanus diagnosis, which they determined was caused by a badly botched castration. The castration was so poorly done that they missed a testicle and the wound had been left to fester. Sadly, doctors also discovered that Bradley had lockjaw so severe that he could not eat or drink, and they could not insert a tube to relieve his bloat. Bradley was rushed into emergency surgery for a rumenostomy to relieve his bloat and provide nutrition/hydration.
Tetanus is often fatal in cows, as early signs and symptoms can be easily overlooked, and once the illness has progressed to a certain point, antitoxins are typically ineffective. Thankfully, Bradley received emergency medical care just in time, and with lots of love and ‘round the clock care, he made a full recovery! Bradley is such a gentle, sweet, and curious little soul. He finally has the life that all cows deserve.
